By the time Apple releases the second-generation AirPods Pro this autumn, the updates will be almost three years away. But the latest rumors suggest they will be worth the wait.
According to LeaksApplePro (written for iDropNews), the upcoming AirPods Pro will come with several high-performance audio features to distinguish it from the recently released third-generation AirPods. In addition to a new stemless design fitted to the ear flash, LeaksApplePro claims that the new earbuds will be “the biggest innovation in wireless earbuds since the original AirPods were launched in 2016.”
To back up these claims, the site says that Apple will introduce two new audio features: lossless audio and “state-of-the-art” word-cancellation. The current AirPods Pro already has noise-cancellation, but this report indicates that the technology will be improved to match Bose QuietComfort earbuds and other competitors. It is possible that Apple will launch an H2 chip to expand the system.
Lossless audio will be another first type of feature. Since Apple Music received lossless audio last year, Apple has added support to most of its audio-capable devices, except the AirPod, due to the limitations of Bluetooth. A new codec will remove that barrier and make the AirPods Pro the ultimate harmless audio device, whether you’re listening with a Mac, iPhone or Apple Watch.
LeaksApplePro reports that the new AirPods Pro will continue to be sold in white, but with a fairly significant price increase of $ 299. The current model is priced at $ 249 but often sells below $ 200, which puts it close to the ট্যাগ 179 price tag for third generation AirPods. The price increase will create a bit more distance between the models and will be priced as a premium product compared to the Bose QuickComfort and Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds, priced at 280.
The second-generation AirPods Pro is expected to launch at the iPhone 14 event in mid-September, although LeaksApplePro says Apple could spread the fall release again if the events are virtual rather than personal.
