An iMac is no small investment, which is why it is wise to spend some time making sure you get the right iMac for you at the best price.
Here we go – the McWorld team is constantly on the lookout for the best iMac deals on the web. Throughout the year we find the biggest and best deals from UK and US retailers and list them here in this article.
Until recently there was a huge hurdle: the supply of the 24in iMac was limited and it was difficult to buy one at all, leaving it at a discount. 24in iMac is not in stock in many places, but 24in iMac stock now seems to be at normal levels.
Then in March 2022, instead of updating the 27in iMac as expected, Apple removed it from the lineup. This means that the 27in iMac is no longer sold by Apple unless you find one in the Apple Refurbished Store. But you can find models available to resellers because they sell old stock and you can expect to get some good deals while they do it.

Where to buy an iMac
You can buy an iMac from Apple directly in the US or from the Apple UK, but there are plenty of stores and Apple Premium resellers around the world that offer discounts on new and old Macs. Some Mac retailers offer great discounts on Apple products and Apple accessories, so you should be able to save hundreds of pounds from some iMac configurations.
Be careful, though. The Mac listed by the reseller may be an older model than the one Apple currently sells. We’ve seen resellers advertising Macs for money based on the price Apple previously sold, even after Apple started selling a new Mac at the same price – so the deal often looks better than that. So be careful to check the age and space of the machine sold and do not automatically assume that it is current.
To get an idea of what the older model should cost, check out Apple’s refurbished store to see what Apple’s older version is selling for (and remember that if you buy from Apple, even if it’s refurbished, you’ll get a full year warranty).
And for other ways to save money on a new Apple product, read about how you can trade old products at Apple and other resellers and get discounts. Read: How Apple works and saves you money.
We regularly see Mac-related deals from the following UK and US retailers:

United Kingdom
Apple has a number of Apple premium resellers in the UK that sell Mac stock and offer other services:
From time to time, Amazon runs a lightning deal, which can get you a discount if you act fast. If you find that you’re missing out on Amazon’s Lightning Deals, which only last a few hours and offer limited stock, we recommend signing up for Amazon Prime’s 30-day free trial, which will give you access to the deals for the first 30 minutes. Also, you’ll get free delivery the next day with Prime Trial, as well as access to Prime Instant Video and more. Sign up for Prime here.
The best renewal iMac deal
One of the best places to look for iMac deals all year is the Apple Refurbished Store. There, you’ll find huge iMac discounts, sometimes even on the latest models These iMacs have been returned to Apple for a variety of reasons, and have since been fully resold. One of the major benefits of buying a reformed Mac from Apple is that it comes with a one-year warranty so Apple can fix or replace it for free if something happens to it in the first year.
You can’t tell the difference between a refined iMac and a brand new iMac, except for the box that comes in, which is white so people can’t buy them and try to sell them as new. Learn more about buying a refined iMac here.
There are often deals for refurbished iMacs with the M1 chip – but these sell out quickly, so we recommend that you check them often. Check out this page in the UK and the US Refurb Store page here.
- We’ve seen a full spaced 24in iMac with Apple M1 chip with 8 ‑ Core CPU and 8 ‑ Core GPU, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD at ার 1,739 / 60 1,609 at the Refurbished Store – সাধারণ 310 / $ 490 saving generic £ 2,049 / $ 2,099 price .
- The entry-level 24in iMac M1 (with 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU) is 1,099 (স্বাভাবিক 200 savings at the usual price of $ 1,299).
- The mid-range model (with 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU and 256GB SSD) costs US $ 1,269 (স্বাভাবিক 230 savings at the usual price of $ 1,499). In the UK you can get the mid-range model for 1,229, which saves £ 220 at a normal price of £ 1,449.
- In the US you can save 24 1,699 on a 24in iMac M8 chip with 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU and 512GB SSD (in blue), but you can get it for $ 1,430. Same deal available in the UK: Save £ 250 on the same 24in iMac, usually 1,649 but you can get it for 1,399.
Amazon also has a certified renewal store for Apple products, but we would advise against buying any product that is more than five years old – most of the products we see in Amazon Reform stores are unfortunately too old.
