Unclutter is one of the few software companies in Ukraine, and like MacPaw (CleanMyMac) they are based in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
Another Ukrainian company, Nectoni, has assured us that its programming team, based in Odessa, is “in a safe place” and will continue to operate.
Many of these services are used outside the country (such as Amazon Web Services) which ensures the maintenance of services like Mac’s setup despite these turbulent times. We have updated this story to show that by May 2022 MacPaw SetApp is displaying more than 20 Ukrainian apps.
With the horrific events that took place in Ukraine, the details of development and software fade into the background. People fleeing the attacks in Ukraine and their countries are in urgent need of assistance. You can help by donating (Red Cross, Choose Love, Project Hope, UNICEF, Nova Ukraine, Doctors Without Borders, UN Refugee Agency for Ukraine and the International Rescue Committee) and also donate various products at a checkpoint near you. You can donate to the Ukrainian army through the National Bank of Ukraine or through the Come Back Alive NGO.
