Oculus brand VR headsets and other similar devices allow you to see the 3D world, but they can be blurry and uncomfortable if you wear glasses. Alternatively, you may be able to see better, but your glasses can get in the way of a comfortable experience. Either way, you might want to integrate prescription lenses into your headset, and thanks, there’s an easy way to do that. [tanvach].
The way to do this is to use these 3D-printed lens adapters. They take standard single vision lenses designed for the Jenny # 550021 Round Glass Frame and allow them to fit snugly inside the Oculus Quest, Quest 2 or Rift S headset. [tanvach] Provides instructions on how to order lenses for your own prescription and notes that the key is to get an anti-reflective coating to reduce light. And, if you don’t want to print your own adapters, you can use some pre-printed source instead!
Adapters are a great way to enhance your VR experience if you are someone who usually relies on corrective lenses. Of course, these days it is becoming more and more popular to DIY your own headset. If you’ve got your own neat VR project to work with, don’t hesitate to let us know!
Thanks [Keith Olson] For the tip!
